USO-themed 'Spring Fling' to celebrate Letterkenny's 70th anniversary

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — The Franklin County Area Development Corp. will be hosting a 1940s, USO-themed “Spring Fling” in celebration of Letterkenny Army Depot’s 70th anniversary.

The event is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. March 10 in the Jensen Dining Hall at Wilson College.

The evening will include dinner (you choose from three options), drinks (open bar), and live entertainment provided by the swing dance band “Jump Alley.”

Tickets are on sale now for $35 each and can be purchased in Letterkenny’s public affairs office in Building 10. Cash and checks are acceptable.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in 1940s/World War II-era garb.

Dinner options are:

• Sautéed chicken breast with a veloute sauce, mashed potatoes and a seasonal vegetable

• Roast beef with brown sauce, mashed potatoes and a seasonal vegetable

• Pasta primavera with artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, garlic, fresh basil, toasted garlic bread, and steamed seasonal vegetables
