HAGERSTOWN — The driver of a northbound 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck drove off Pennsylvania Avenue, sideswiped an M.S. Johnston Co. truck, struck a utility pole and crashed into the M.S. Johnston Co. building Monday afternoon, according to Deputy Dan Watson of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

Watson said it was not clear what caused Douglas Scott Hollar to leave the road and crash into the building at 13261 Pennsylvania Ave.

Hollar, 41, of 1119 Green Lane in Hagerstown, was taken to Meritus Medical Center after the 4:34 p.m. crash.

Watson said he did not have any information about Hollar’s condition Monday night.
