Weather is teasing us

The weather is teasing us as of late. Some days are nothing short of fabulous, while others are regretfully very seasonal. All we can do is hold on tight and enjoy the ride. Maybe if we keep ourselves busy, milder temperatures will be here to stay.

Band Boosters bingo

B-4 you get too settled into a monotony, perhaps a rousing game of bingo will jar things a bit.

The E. Russell Hicks Middle School Band Boosters will hold a basket bingo Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Elks Lodge on Robinwood Drive in Hagerstown.

All the baskets will be filled and there will be 25 winning games. Tickets cost $25, and you must be 18 years old to gain admittance. There will also be tip jars and raffles for purchase.

The doors will open at 11:30 a.m., lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and bingo starts at 1:30 p.m.

Spring bargain sale

The Women’s Club will hold its spring bargain sale Friday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturday, March 3, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Household items, clothing, jewelry and collectibles will be sold.

The club is at 31 S. Prospect St. in Hagerstown.

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts will host the Cumberland Valley Photographic Salon artists reception and awards ceremony Sunday from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
