KENT, Ohio — Kaitlyn Bosco was named to the president’s list for the fall semester at Kent State University.

Bosco, a  sophomore, is majoring in speech pathology, audiology, with a minor in psychology.

She is a 2010 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

She is the daughter of Gary and Marie Bosco of Hagerstown.


SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. —  Erin Marie Connors of Smithsburg graduated summa cum laude on Dec. 17 from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in business administration, majoring in accounting. 

 Connors is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national honorary business society for students attending colleges and universities whose business programs are accredited by the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. 

She is working at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md.

Connors is a 2009 graduate of Smithsburg High School.

She is the daughter of Jim and Terri Connors.


SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Laura Harmon of Hagerstown was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Syracuse University.

Harmon, a sophomore, is studying information technology.

She is a 2010 graduate of South Hagerstown High School.

She is the daughter of Patricia Kite. 


ELON, N.C. — Emily M. Steiner was named to the president’s list for the fall semester at Elon University.

Emily, a sophomore, is majoring in English with a minor in psychology and women’s/gender studies.

She is a 2010 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown.

She is the daughter of Patrick and Dora Steiner of Boonsboro.


WESTMINSTER, Md. — Carissa L. Grove of Boonsboro was named to the dean’s list with highest honors for the fall semester at McDaniel College.

She will graduate with a double major in biology and Spanish in May.

Grove is employed as an intern at National Cancer Institute in Frederick, Md.

She plans to further her education at Hood College.

She is a 2008 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School in Hagerstown.

She is the daughter of Brenda and Michael Grove.


MOREHEAD, Ky. — Demi Jacques of Smithsburg was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Morehead State University.
