Not all county residents believe in ‘renting’ votes

To the editor:

Thank you, Art Callaham, for reminding us in Washington County that our free-market capitalist and tea party voices mean nothing. However, were you out of the country during the 2010 mid-term elections when Americans repudiated your “go along to get along views?”

If you are no liberal elitist and will not identify your governing philosophy, let me supply you with one: RINO, Republican In Name Only (Actually, that puts you and your political comrade, Don Munson, in the 10 percent fringe to the left of me.).

Attempting to discredit Chris Shank and Neil Parrott does not alter the current reality that not all Washington Countians still believe, if they ever did, in keeping quiet and “renting” their vote just to be patted on the head and treated nicely.

Note to our status quo cheerleaders: When you return a tennis ball made of pork, it doesn’t so much “thwack” as “squish.”
