Greencastle woman wins $60,000 with Pa. Lottery scratch-off ticket

February 02, 2012

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Franklin County, Pa., woman is celebrating a big win from a Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off ticket.
Tonya Schroyer, of Greencastle, Pa., won $60,000 on the Peng-Win instant ticket her husband bought for her in November.

“My husband, Jeff, bought me the ticket, and I didn’t like that game at first because my favorite is the Candy Cane Cash,” Tonya Schroyer said in a news release.

She said she stuffed the ticket in her purse as they left to get breakfast at a local restaurant. While waiting for her husband to finish eating, she scratched the ticket and revealed the $60,000 win.

“I couldn’t believe it. We had the waitress and the restaurant manager check the numbers, too,” she said.
