NEW PARIS, Pa. – Macie Hollenshead had an all-around effective game leading Southern Fulton past Chestnut Ridge 53-30 on Monday in the Sideling Hill League.

Hollenshead had 13 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists and seven steals to lead first-place Southern Fulton (16-1, 9-0).
Ashley Roman added 12 points and Taelor Morten had 11 for the Indians.

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Greencastle broke open a close game with a 16-9 advantage in the final quarter.

Lauren Grove led Greencastle (10-8) with 12 points.

McConnellsburg (8-9) had a trio of players in double figures led by Becca Hahn with 14. Sarah Pollock had 12 and Nikki Fleming had 10.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Breslin wins award again
LANCASTER, Pa.    —    Washington College men’s basketball senior guard Kevin Breslin, a St. Maria Goretti graduate from Hagerstown, Md., has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Player of the Week for the week of January 30. 

Breslin averaged 25.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, while shooting 60% (18-for-30) from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Shoremen where they won a pair of road games at Ursinus and at McDaniel. 

Breslin, who won the award for the second straight week and third time this year, shares the award with Jon Salandra of Franklin & Marshall.
