Renfrew Institute for Cultural and Environmental Studies will sponsor a three-program series, "1812: Waynesboro and the War (The Impact, The Lifestyle and The Music)." For the first program Darwin Seiler will present "Setting the Stage: The Build-up to the War of 1812" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Renfrew Museum and Park's visitor center, 1010 E. 2. First Friday

Songwriter and guitarist Andrew McKnight will perform Friday, Feb. 3. Doors open for open mic sign-up, 7:30 p.m. A one-hour, open-mic session precedes the concert.
