WILLIAMSPORT — An unresponsive Keedysville, Md., man was taken to Meritus Medical Center after crashing his car at the intersection of Md. 68 at Grafton Lane early Tuesday morning, according to Maryland State Police in Hagerstown.

Warren Steven Roelkey, 52, of 4828 Mount Briar Road, lost control of his 2005 Kia Sedona due to “unknown medical problems,” Cpl. Chris Barnard said in a news release.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 8:14 a.m. when Roelkey was traveling east on Md. 68. Roelkey drifted off the roadway and struck an embankment at Grafton Lane, Barnard said.

Roelkey, who was wearing his seatbelt, was unresponsive at the scene, police said.

His status was unknown Tuesday night due to Meritus Medical Center’s policy of not providing patient conditions.
