Ronald Rex “Ronbo” Jackson Sr., 49, of Clear Spring, Md., went to be with his creator Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, from his home.

Born Dec. 26, 1962, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late William Fair Jackson and Dorothy Louise Chaney Socks.

He attended Clear Spring High School and was an avid Harley rider.

He was self-employed as a building contractor and also delivered newspapers for The Herald-Mail Company.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Diane M. Myers Jackson of Clear Spring; one daughter, Christina Williams of Hagerstown; one son, Ronald R. Jackson Jr. of Hagerstown; five sisters, Merry Hull and Norma Jackson, both of Hagerstown, Tina Hill of Adamstown, Md., Nina Appel of Bethlehem, Pa., and Sherry Reger of Williamsport, Md.; five brothers, Reggie Jackson, Jerry Jackson and Bill Jackson, all of Clear Spring, Bob Jackson of Williamsport, and Tim Jackson of Hagerstown; three half sisters, Brenda Baker, Debbie Kline and Patricia Shoemaker; eight grandchildren, Brittany, Taryn, Marissa, Brandyn, Haylee, Terri, Austin and Jacob; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by one half sister, Teresa Barton; and his stepfather, Ignatius “Ace” Socks.

Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring. Pastor Brad Nigh will officiate. Burial will be in Little Rose Hill Cemetery in Clear Spring. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. For the convenience of family and friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 310, Clear Spring, MD 21722, for his burial fund.
