Two steers shot to death in Dublin Township, Pa.

McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. — Authorities were investigating the shooting deaths of two steers, according to Pennsylvania State Police at McConnellsburg.

In addition to the deaths of the two young steers, a mature bull was injured, state police said in a news release.

The incident on North Clear Ridge Road, near South Madden Road, in Dublin Township, was reported at about 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The animals belonged to a Hustontown, Pa., man.

Police estimated the value of the dead steers at $5,000 each. All three animals were of the Maintainer breed, police said.
