How did you get into your business, and what motivated you to start it? In my 20s and early 30s, I taught a lunchtime step-aerobics class at the corporate gym at which I was working. It wasn’t until I had two kids that I stopped exercising. Since then, I’ve had several health issues, including two herniated disks and cholesterol higher than 200. It didn’t help that I was 20 pounds overweight, I’d become a coach potato and had no energy. At a yearly checkup, my doctor indicated that my cholesterol was too high and I needed to exercise. I remembered how much better I felt when I was working out. So after my last disk operation, and once I got the “OK” from my doctor, I made a decision to myself to get back my health and lose some weight. That’s when I decided to learn the biomechanics of the body. What better way to do that then to get trained and certified? Learning from my experience and the turnaround I made has motivated me to help others, particularly families.
