Entries sought for community exhibit

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. —

Franklin County Historical Society — Kittochtinny will present an open exhibition "Celebrate Community!" in conjunction with the 2012 IceFest theme: "Celebrate: 10 Years of IceFest." The display will be in the Minehart Lecture Hall at the Old Jail, 175 East King St., and will run Jan. 28 through Feb. 25, with an IceFest reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Regular gallery hours will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.

Artists are invited to submit one work with a subject relating to the people and landscape of the Mid-Atlantic region; artists ages 14 and older may enter. Works may be created in any medium, but if 2-dimensional, must be framed and hang-able with wire on the back. There is no entry fee or commission on sales.

Entry forms are due Tuesday, Jan. 24, and should be mailed or delivered to Council for the Arts, 159 S. Main St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
