Jennifer Lee Browning, 39, of 10658 Worleytown Road, Greencastle, Pa., died at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, in Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown, Md.
Born June 5, 1972, in Tunkhannock, Wyoming County, Pa., she was the wife of Gary Lee Browning and the daughter of Robert F. and Nancy M. (Greene) Stackhouse of Tunkhannock.
She was employed at Citigroup of Hagerstown. Jennifer was a member of the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church of Greencastle. Jennifer volunteered with numerous charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, March of Dimes, Meals on Wheels and the Soup Kitchen.
She was a graduate of Tunkhannock Area High School and a magna cum laude graduate of Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She was a loving mother to her two sons. She enjoyed doing cross-stitching and puzzles.
Surviving family in addition to her parents and husband are two sons, Robert “Bobby” Browning and Chase Browning, both at home; one brother, Robert Stackhouse and wife, Elizabeth, of Mehoopany, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Ann Stackhouse of Carbondale, Pa.; two nephews, Brian and Kyle; and several aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Brian and Michael Stackhouse.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 385 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, with Father Joe Stahura as celebrant. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, where a wake service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
