Pancake breakfast, butchering event planned

Wilson Ruritan Club will hold a country butchering and pancake breakfast Saturday, beginning at 6:30 a.m. at the club, just west of Huyetts Crossroads on U.S. 40.  

The menu includes all-you-can-eat pancakes with one serving of puddin’ or sausage patty or sausage gravy, coffee and orange juice. The breakfast costs $4.50.

Oyster dinner set for Feb. 26

Clear Spring Volunteer Fire Co. will hold an oyster feed Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Special Events Building on Big Springs Road.

The doors open at noon and oysters will be served from 1 to 4 p.m.  

The all-you-care-to-eat oyster feed also includes ham sandwiches and hot dogs. Tickets cost $35 per person.
