1. Remembering civil rights leader

Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Celebration includes songs by the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Choir, a recitation of King's "I Have a Dream" speech by the Rev. Darin Mency,  and a keynote talk by Vicky Bullet, a University of Maryland basketball player and member of the 1988 and '92 U.S. Olympic teams. 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, at Athletic Recreation and Community Center at Hagerstown Community College, off Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. 2. The Wyeth Influence

A panel of local artists including Lee Weaver, Tom Renner and Robert Wantz will discuss the influence of the Wyeth family of artists on their work. 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, City Park, Hagerstown.
