South Hagerstown High School’s Alumni Association will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in the media center at South High.

Topics to be discussed include 2012 scholarships, the 2012 golf tournament and an alumni meet and greet to be held in June

All South High graduates and teachers are eligible for membership in the association.

Lions Club

Tuesday — Craig Mac-Lean, executive director and chief executive officer of Goodwill in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, will talk about Goodwill Industries.

Discovery Station

Saturday — Tristate Astronomers will present an astronomy and telescope clinic Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Discovery Station.

Bring your telescopes, manuals, questions and accessories. There is no fee for the clinic.

Discovery Station is at 101 W. Washington St. in Hagerstown.


Girls softball registration

The Washington County Girls Softball League will hold registration for the 2012 season at Dick’s Sporting Goods on the following dates: Feb. 4, 5, 18 and 19 from noon to 6 p.m.

Girls can also register at Extra-Innings of Hagerstown on Feb. 10 and 24 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Feb. 11 and 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
