Wilson College

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Brian Ecker has been named vice president for finance and administration at Wilson College.

Ecker joined Wilson on Dec. 12. He most recently served as comptroller at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md. Before that, he served Mount St. Mary's as director of accounting and business operations for eight years, and director of accounting for four years.

Ecker has also been an adjunct faculty member at Mount St. Mary's for nearly 10 years, teaching classes in accounting, and financial reporting and control.

Previously, he worked for Central Pennsylvania Legal Services, Intellex Corp. and Hanover (Pa.) General Hospital.

He has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State and a Master of Business Administration from Mount St. Mary's. He received the Mount St. Mary's Presidents Award and Presidential Scholarship Award in 2005, and is a Healthcare Financial Management Association Fellow.

Ecker replaces Jim Fisher, who left Wilson last spring after serving several years in the post.

Ecker lives in Hanover with his wife, Karen, and son, Henry.

MNET Mortgage Corp.

FREDERICK, Md. — Mark Ebinger joined MNET Mortgage Corp. as branch manager of the Frederick office at 5235 Westview Drive, Suite 100.

Ebinger has been in the mortgage business for 19 years, working for what became MetLife Home Loans, where he managed the Frederick and Hagerstown branches, and was recognized as a top producer, earning him President's Club and Chairman's Circle status each year. In 2002, he was the top producer for retail volume in the entire Northeast division, settling $91.6 million. In 2003, with no assistant or team, he closed $123,500,000 in loan volume and 810 units — a level of production that to date no one has surpassed in the Northeast division.

Ebinger has been one of the top-10 producers for the entire company, which has 700 to 1,000 loan officers, for five of the last 10 years. In total since 2001, he has closed almost $700 million in mortgage loans.

He has been a preferred lender for area builders such as Woodbridge Homes, Oliver Homes, Kent Briddell and H.F. Payne. He spent almost 10 years being a preferred lender for Ausherman Homes, until the company was sold in 2003.

Embrace Home Loans

ROCKVILLE, Md. — Mortgage lender Embrace Home Loans recently hired two loan officers in its Frederick, Md., office.

David McBride of Hagerstown, who came to Embrace after working at Primary Residential Mortgage and Benchmark Mortgage. He has been in the mortgage-lending industry for more than a decade.
