Springs scores 15 to lead Leopards past Miners

SMITHSBURG — Trent Springs paced Smithsburg with 15 points to help lift the Leopards to a 50-32 victory over Mountain Ridge on Saturday.

Smithsburg (9-3) was able to build on its 28-19 halftime lead in the second half, as the Leopards limited Mountain Ridge to just 13 second-half points.

Springs led Smithsburg with seven rebounds and Jordan Fortson added 12 points.

Tyler Whitaker led Mountain Ridge with 15 points.

Potomac 74, Saint James 69

McLEAN, Va. — Obi Enechionyia posted a double-double with 23 points and 18 rebounds for Saint James in a Mid-Atlantic Conference loss to Potomac.

Nnamdi Enechionyia also recorded a double-double for the Saints (4-5, 1-2), scoring 16 points and grabbing 14 boards.

Saint James held a 39-37 lead at halftime, but Potomac (8-4, 2-0) poured it on in the fourth quarter with 20 points for the win.

FREDERICK, Md. — Robby Martin scored 17 points and added five assists to help Heritage Academy defeat Frederick Force in the Oriole Classic at Maryland School for Deaf.

Ben Cosner scored 15 points and had eight rebounds, and Alex Cosner added a team-high 12 rebounds for the Eagles (4-4).

INWOOD, W.Va. — The Applemen had five players score in double figures as Musselman pulled away for a victory.

Trevon Wesco led the way with 16 points, while Jacob Bare and Jordan Butler each had 15 points for Musselman (5-4). Tommy Hargroves had 11 points and Jordan Benjamin added 10 points.

Cal Cistaro led Notre Dame (7-3) with 17 points.
