The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two men in connection with an attempted armed robbery early Saturday at Motel 6 at 11321 Massey Blvd. in Hagerstown, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

A male entered the motel lobby at 12:55 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from a motel employee, Detective David Sanders said.

No money was given to the male and the employee retreated to a safe location, Sanders said. The male then exited the lobby and fled the area with another male, Sanders said.

The male who entered the lobby is described as black, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds, Sanders said. He was wearing dark-colored pants, a jacket, a hooded sweat shirt, white sneakers and a dark-colored stocking cap, Sanders said.

The other male is described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds, Sanders said. He was wearing jeans, black shoes and a heavy coat, Sanders said.

Anyone with information on the incident may call Sanders at 240-313-2186.
