Driver not injured in crash into median on eastbound I-70

January 06, 2012

Nobody was injured in a single-vehicle accident on eastbound Interstate 70 just east of Exit 26 to Interstate 81 Friday morning, Trooper James Bowers of the Maryland State Police said.

A tractor-trailer on I-70 switched lanes into the left lane and pulled in front of a Ford Mustang, Bowers said. The driver of the Mustang then slammed on her brakes and lost control of the vehicle, which went into the median and struck a guardrail, Bowers said.

Traffic was not affected by the accident.

The Mustang was being towed from the scene.

Police responded to the accident at 10:02 a.m. Friday.
