Longmeadow Lions Club to meet Jan. 12

Maugansville resident gets her service dog

After waiting 2 1/2 years, Sandy Goode of Maugansville would like town residents to know that she finally received her golden retriever, Cabo, in October from Susquehanna Service Dogs in Harrisburg, Pa.

With the fundraising help of Tri-State Civitan Club and the Longmeadow Lions Club, Sandy was able to purchase Cabo.

Sandy uses Cabo instead of crutches to keep her balance.

On Sandy’s command, Cabo can pull an emergency cord, bring her telephone and retrieve other things.

Sandy said she loves Cabo very much.
