Clear Spring FFA earns bronze at national event

Members of the Clear Spring FFA Chapter in Maryland were among 43 teams participating in the National FFA Farm Business Management Career Development Event.

The event was held in conjunction with the 84th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. The team, led by adviser Terrie Shank, was awarded a bronze emblem.

Members also competed for individual awards with 161 other participants. Brittney Morris received a bronze emblem, Brenna Reid received a bronze emblem, and Crystal Welling received a bronze emblem.

The National FFA Farm Business Management Career Development Event is designed to test the ability of students to apply economic principles and concepts in analyzing farm and ranch business management decisions. Participants respond to questions concerning economic principles in farm business management as well as a problem-solving analysis section. The Clear Spring team had qualified in Maryland for a slot in the national event.
