Tanya Marie Kulp, 55, of 228 Mallard Way in Falling Waters, W.Va., died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at her home.

Born May 2, 1956, in Waynesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Philip M. Kulp and Mary Ann M. Payne of Fayetteville, Pa.

Tanya attended schools in Nigeria, West Africa and Waynesboro, graduating with the class of 1974. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in social service from Shippensburg University.

She was employed as a social worker by Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, Md. She raised pedigreed miniature dachshunds through her own business, T.S. Doxies.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Naomi H. Kulp.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two sisters, Chrissy Kulp and her husband, Steven Shinham, of Waynesboro, and Diana Dale and her husband, Jon, of Dillsburg, Pa.; one niece, Katie Benedict of Waynesboro; and two nephews, Brian Benedict of Waynesboro and Alex Dale of Dillsburg.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are being handled by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
