Phillip Kenneth Snow Jr., 74, of 21926 Leitersburg/Smithsburg Road, Smithsburg, Md., passed away Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Monday, Aug. 9, 1937, in Mount Union, Pa., he was the son of the late Phillip Kenneth Snow Sr.and the late Nina (Wareham) Snow Naugle.
He was employed as manager for Martin Marrietta Stone Quarry in Hagerstown for 10 years, and for the past 35 years has been the owner of Mr. Softee Water Treatment & Pump Service, retiring in 2002.
Phill was a member of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school and served as a deacon. He also helped pioneer Pinesburg Baptist Church and served on the Baptist Blue Ridge Association. He was a volunteer and supporter of the Union Rescue Mission.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Jane Snow; daughters, Lori Jusino of Sharpsburg, Md., and Belinda Baker of Waynesboro, Pa.; a son, Clark Snow of Taneytown, Md.; sisters, Emily Weist of Huntington, Pa., and Jean Woodring of Mercersburg, Pa.; one brother, Keith Snow of Martinsburg, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie E. Snow.
Services will be held Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, Md., with the Rev. Wendell McClellan and the Rev. Lou Zannino officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.
