The Webbs celebrate 50 years

Nathaniel L. Webb Sr. and Mary Rose Harsh Webb of Cearfoss were surprised by their sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren with a 50th wedding anniversary celebration at Maugansville Ruritan Club. They were married Nov. 10, 1961, which is also the Marine Corps birthday, at the Downsville Christian Church by the Rev. McDonald. Friends and many extended family members were present.

The Webbs have two sons, Nathaniel "Lee" Webb Jr. and his wife, Toni, their children, Sheridan and Nathaniel Anthony and Laura and her husband, Eric,  and granddaughter, Kennady; and son, William "Andy" Webb and his wife, Lori, and their children, Maxwell and Madison.

Mr. Webb is the son of the late Rosanna Guyer Webb and the late Francis L. Webb Sr. He is retired from the City of Hagerstown Water Department as the chief water plant operator, in 1996.

Mrs. Webb is the daughter of the late Thelma Catherine Baker Harsh and the late Nelson A. Harsh Sr. She is a 1961 graduate of Washington County Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Western Maryland Hospital, Pangborn Corp. Infirmary and Washington County Hospital. She retired in 1992 while working at Washington County Hospital in the Mental Health Unit.

The Webbs volunteer with the Maugansville Ruritan Club, exercise classes, senior softball, and golf in the summer, and hunting in the winter and gardening.

The Webbs were married in 1961.
