1. One 'Wild' exhibit about Sendak

The traveling exhibit, "In a Nutshell: The Worlds of Maurice Sendak" will be at Williamsport Memorial Branch Library, 104 E. Potomac St., Williamsport. Maurice Sendak is best known as the illustrator of more than 100 picture books, including "Where the Wild Things Are" and "In the Night Kitchen." Continues through Thursday, Feb. 23. 2. Promises of a magical evening

Join illusionist Brett Myers and the team from BAM Magic Friday, Jan. 6, and Saturday, Jan. 7, at Antietam Recreation, 9745 Garis Shop Road, south of Hagerstown. Doors open 6:30 p.m.; show 7 to 9 p.m. Chocolate-chip cookies, ice cream, hot chocolate, lemonade and water will be served during intermission. Tickets cost $8 to $12, plus tax. 3. Tips on plant care

Washington County Master Gardeners host a free plant clinic from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 7, at Hagerstown City Farmers' Market, 25 W. Church St., Hagerstown. Master Gardners will offer tips on taking care of seasonal plants including poinsettia, and offer identification and answer questions about insects and plants Provide good quality photos or samples in a clean, sealed container or bag. 4. The studio is open

5. Bang the drums
