16 — Phillip Butler scores five touchdowns to lead North to 47-36 win over Oakdale.

17 — North Hagerstown beats Williamsport 1-0 for Washington county boys soccer title … North beats Williamsport by the same score for girls title. … West Virginia beats Maryland 37-31.

21 — North’s Aaron Staley, Williamsport’s Scot Drury and Smithsburg’s Kyle Huntzberry, Christian Grosh and Shane Fritts qualify for Maryland state golf tournament.

4 — Saint James’ Mary Kate Afsali scores four goals in 6-1 girls soccer victory over Hancock.

5 — Smithsburg volleyball coach Rachel Brashear gets her 100th win in 3-2 decision over Clear Spring.

6 — In Thursday prep football, Boonsboro beats Catoctin 39-33 and Brunswick beats Clear Spring 50-25.

7 — The South Hagerstown football team downs Smithsburg 21-6. .. North’s boys soccer team blanks Boonsboro 3-0.

22 — Smithsburg knocks off Clear Spring 34-15 in prep football.

26 — North Hagerstown’s Aaron Staley finishes 12th and Smithsburg’s Kyle Huntzberry is 20th at the Maryland state golf tournament.
