December 27, 2011

HUSTONTOWN, Pa. — A 15-year-old Hustontown girl attempted to elude police on Christmas Eve while traveling more than 100 mph for more than three miles on Pa. 475 in Fulton County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The incident occurred at 12:08 a.m. Saturday, police said.

After the girl stopped her vehicle, she attempted to flee into her house before she was apprehended, state police said in a news release.

Police said the girl was under the influence of marijuana and was in possession of a marijuana smoking device, state police said. Several cans of beer also were in her car, police said.

The girl was released to her mother. It was unclear Tuesday night whether any charges had been filed against the girl.
