1. Dive on in
Polar Plunge will be Sunday, Jan. 1, at Fort Richie's Fort Ritchie's Lake Royer, Lake Royer Drive, Cascade. The event starts with a bonfire, DJ and music, and hot chocolate on the beach, followed by a dip in Lake Royer. Noon, bonfire and party; 1 p.m., plunge. Keedysville Ruritan Club will host a basket bingo Saturday, Dec. 31, doors open at 4 p.m., bingo at 6 p.m. Little Antietam Community Center, 40 Mount Vernon Drive, Keedysville. 3. Dusting off treasures
Local treasures from the North Storage Bay exhibit will include such pieces as this photo of George Hamilton, a porter with the McLaughlin Hotel, will be on display beginning Monday, Jan. 2, at Allison-Antrim Museum, 365 S. Ridge Ave., Greencastle, Pa. Artifacts from the museum's collections that don't have a place in the permanent exhibit will be on display. Exhibit continues through Friday, Jan. 27.
