Conococheague Elementary salutes veterans, receives book

WILLIAMSPORT — Students and staff at Conococheague Elementary School celebrated Veterans Day on Nov. 11 with an assembly honoring those who have sacrificed for our country’s freedom.  

Conococheague was honored to have parent and veteran Ronald Lyles on hand to retire the colors, as well as guest speaker and veteran Darrell Marriott, who spoke to students about what it means to be a veteran.  


Grange donates book

Wacohu Grange No. 415 at Huyetts Crossroads purchased a book titled “Seed, Sun, Soil” to promote the Ag Literacy program through the Maryland Argicultural Education Foundation Inc.

A Grange representative presented the book to Conococheague Elementary School for use in the media center.
