HAGERSTOWN — Betty Deiner of the Arc of Washington County enjoyed a singalong with guitarist Jack Stanton at the recent holiday show sponsored by the Tri-State Civitan Club for students at the Marshall Street School, Job Development Center, Star Community and other groups.

There were other entertainers as well.

John Dodge, a magician, ventriloquist and leader of the group, is well-known for entertaining children in hospitals. He brought his duck, Charlie, with him to the show.

Kevin the Klown’s antics delighted the packed audience, especially when balancing a stepladder.

A swing dance performance by Penn and Steve Springer wooed the crowd, especially the Hand Jive as they encouraged the audience to participate.

The Tri-State Civitan Club is thankful for donations from community residents and area businesses. The club said the support makes the event possible. The nonprofit club helps those with developmental disabilities.
