Hagerstown Sunrise Rotary recently awarded $16,000 to two Washington County nonprofit organizations.

The awards, made to the Washington County Boys & Girls Club and to Children’s Village, came from the proceeds of Sunrise Rotary’s 10th annual auction.

Both nonprofits help partner in the auction’s success.

Also, Sunrise Rotary added auction proceeds to its fund at the Washington County Community Foundation, as well as making a gift to Rotary International’s campaign to eradicate polio.

“We are pleased to be able to continue our decade of support to the community,” said Dave Jordan, Sunrise Rotary president. “We hope to be able to continue this support in the decade ahead.”
