Marian Ruth (Plybon) Beauchamp, 88, of Hagerstown, Md., died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, at the Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown after a short illness.

Born March 17, 1923, in Raleigh, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles T. and Donna (Burwell) Plybon. She was the wife of the late Arlington Blair Beauchamp, whom she married in 1943 and who passed away in 1981.

Upon her high school graduation, Marian attended Mars Hill College in Mars Hill, N.C. She was the owner and operator of the Hair Beau Salon, Boonsboro, Md., for more than 25 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Boonsboro, and a past member of the Keedysville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Ladies of the Elks and Associates, Hagerstown Lodge 378, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Morris Frock Post 42 of the American Legion.

Marian is survived by one daughter, Patricia Beauchamp Dickinson of Frederick, Md.; two grandchildren, Dari D. Damazo of Advance, N.C., and Thomas D. Dickinson of Raleigh; two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Damazo and Beckett Dickinson; and numerous nieces and nephews in North Carolina.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marian was preceded in death by one sister, Helen P. Bailey, and two brothers, Charles T. Plybon Jr. and Paul C. Plybon Sr.

The funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one's choice.

The Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, Bryan K. Kenworthy P.A., 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
