Kenneth Lee Bowman, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., went to be with his Lord on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at Fahrney-Keedy Home and Village.
Born Tuesday, May 26, 1936, in Washington County, Md., he was the son of the late Samuel Bowman and the late Mary Daugherty Bowman Hetzell.
He was a 1954 graduate of Hagerstown High School and attended colleges in Texas and Maryland. He was employed with various companies as a mechanical designer, retiring in 1996. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a military policeman. He was a member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Easterday Bowman; daughters, Kendra Braithwaite and husband, Danny, of Clear Spring, Md., and Andrea Kinzer and companion, Sam Miller, of Williamsport, Md.; half-sisters, Trish Schuler of Salisbury, Md., and Diana Bradford of Long Neck, Del.; grandchildren, Tyler, Matt and Mike Braithwaite, and Brian and Caitlyn Kinzer; and great-granddaughter, Hailee Kinzer.
Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Edward L. Poling officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.
