Christmas Eve service set at Letterkenny Chapel

December 20, 2011

The United Churches of the Chambersburg Area will sponsor this year’s Christmas Eve service at the Letterkenny Chapel, 2171 Carbaugh Ave., on Saturday at 6 p.m.

The service will be patterned after the traditional Christmas Eve services held from 1960 to 1995 when the Chapel served its congregation as a military chapel.

This year’s speaker will be the Rev. Ray L. Kauffman, former chaplain of Franklin County (Pa.) Jail and the Fruitbelt Farmworkers Ministry. The Rev. Dr. William Harter will assist as liturgist.

Guitar and baritone soloist John Brink will present special music.

All are invited.

The United Churches of the Chambersburg Area oversees the ministries of the Letterkenny Chapel as an ecumenical interfaith center for worship and fellowship.
