Did you know?

Did you know that Big Pool one had an ice house bigger than the present day Clear Spring High School?

Before the days of refrigeration, teams of men and horses would cut chunks of ice off from Big Pool and store them under sawdust (insulation). The ice would then be loaded onto a train car and shipped out.
