Waynesboro construction company honors employee milestones

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — "Successful companies rely on dedicated people working on independent projects and tasks on a day-to-day basis toward an overall goal," said Greg Brown, president of Waynesboro Construction Co. Inc., during the company's employee awards banquet.

Brown recognized nine new employees, and awarded 26 employees for employment milestones of five, 10, 20, 25, 30, 40 and 45-years with the company.

Brown said the average tenure of the company's employees is more than 16 years, while the national average for tenure with an individual company is 4.4 years.

He also recognized Robert Brown, former owner and president of WCCI, and now chairman and adviser to the company. He joined WCCI in 1957, and has guided the company's progress for more than five decades.

Waynesboro Construction Co. Inc. was founded in 1899 by A.R. Warner. It boasts more than a century of experience and tradition in the local construction industry.
