Try to remember the reason for the season

With all the commercialized pressure to buy just the right gift for your loved ones, it's hard to focus on the real reason for the season.

When I was teaching I would always ask my students what Christmas was all about. Some would say Santa, his elves, and Rudolph.  Others would say Hanukkah or Kwanzaa. Others would say it's about Jesus and Bethlehem. Whatever you believe, I think you'd agree that we live in a great country where we have the freedom to celebrate our differences and our similarities.

So, slow down and take time for each other. Try to find time to share and give hope to others. Stay focused on finding the good in everyone and the giving, not the getting.  Celebrate the real reason for the season.
