Blue, blue Christmas
A Blue Christmas in Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., will take place Saturday near Blue Ridge Summit Free Library. Activities include: 4 to 6 p.m. firetruck rides by Fountaindale Volunteer Fire Department, horse and carriage rides, open house at Blue Ridge Summit Free Library, refreshments, hands-on craft for kids at the library, songs of the season by Rich Fehle and others, door prizes; 6 p.m. tree lighting ceremony, bring an ornament to be placed on the tree in honor of a loved one, Cadette Girl Scout Troop 80882 will perform a liturgical dance. At the Church of Transfiguration, 6:30 p.m. Appalachian Wind Quintet concert, 7 p.m. Victorian Christmas service, 7:30 p.m. special reading of letters written during the Civil War read by reenactors from Cumberland Valley Rifles.
