Interstate 81 in Franklin County now open

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Interstate 81 in Chambersburg was closed for nearly five hours after a tractor-trailer caught fire near the 13-milemarker, a 911 dispatcher said.

 Southbound I-81 was closed between exits 14 and 10 for more than four hours for the fire, which occurred at about 5:30 p.m., a Franklin County 911 dispatcher said.

 The interstate was reopened about 10:20 p.m., a dispatcher said.

 The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt in the fire, a Pennsylvania State Police spokesman said.
