Michael Ernest Scott Clipp, 23, of Maugansville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Born March 27, 1988, in Hagerstown to Richard Allen Clipp I of Hagerstown and the late Karen Virginia Ruth Dorton Clipp.

He received his certificate of completion from Williamsport High School in 2007 and graduated from Marshall Street School in 2009.

He was employed by Star Equestrian Center Hagerstown.

He was a member of Calvary Temple, Williamsport, where he was involved with the Royal Rangers and youth group. His church life was most important to him.

He was involved with the Washington County Special Olympics, Challenge Division Bowling League of Hagerstown and Challenger Baseball League in Maugansville.

Michael will be missed dearly. Anyone that has ever met him couldn't help but to fall in love with his sweet, caring and outgoing personality and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He has left a forever-lasting impact on all of our lives. His smile could light up the world.

Survivors besides his father include sisters Shannon N. Clipp of Greencastle, Pa., and Amy J. Clipp of Hagerstown; brothers Richard A. Clipp II and twin brother, Matthew E.S. Clipp, both of Hagerstown; niece, Alyvia N. Huntzberry; nephew, Blake D.D. Clipp; paternal grandparents, Theodore E. and Peg Clipp of Hagerstown; and maternal grandmother, Jean J. Reeder of Sykesville, Md.

He was predeceased by paternal grandmother, Nancy L. Clipp and maternal grandfather, Ernest R. Dorton.

The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Calvary Temple, Williamsport on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at 11  a.m. with Rev. Todd A. Lady officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Hagerstown.
