The Washington County Show Kids, under the direction of Brenda Cauffman, will  travel to Florida in February to compete in Twirl Mania at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex

The girls will be entered in individual events, dance twirl teams and will have the opportunity to march down Main Street Disney in a parade.

Several fundraisers are taking place, such as a Christmas bazaar planned Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church on Maryland Avenue.

Soup, sandwiches and baked goods, as well as several vendors will be on hand.

The team is also selling raffle tickets for a chance to win two prizes of $100 each, which will be drawn Jan. 7.

Another raffle will be held after Christmas with prizes being donated by local businesses and friends.

The girls have been seeking individual sponsors as well as team sponsors. If anyone is interested in helping them meet their goal by donating an item or making a monetary donation, call Donna Conway at 240-217-5111.
