Helen Irene Myers, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Julia Manor Health Care Center in Hagerstown.
Born July 10, 1927, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Fred Leroy and Pauline Elizabeth Corderman Everheart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Myers in 1980, whom she married June 20, 1947.
She attended Hagerstown High School.
She was previously employed by L'Aiglon and the Union Rescue Mission, both of Hagerstown, and Gibney's Florist Greenhouse in Cearfoss, Md.
She was a member of Maugansville Bible Brethren Church in Maugansville, Md., where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include daughter, Cathy Palmer of Williamsport, Md.; sister, Betty Myers and her husband, Don, of Greencastle, Pa.; brother, Robert Everheart of Hagerstown; brother, Richard Everheart of Hagerstown; brother, Fred Everheart of Hagerstown; grandson, Daniel B. Palmer and his girlfriend, Cindy, of Williamsport; and great-grandson, Atley B. Palmer.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Wiles.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at 4 p.m. at Maugansville Bible Brethren Church, with Pastor Dick Heckman officiating. Burial will be private.
