200 pounds of copper, 2 rifles stolen from home

HANCOCK — Two rifles and about 200 pounds of copper were stolen from a residence in the 14500 block of White Oak Ridge, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

The burglary was reported at 2:37 p.m. on Tuesday, the sheriff's office said.

White Oak Ridge turns off Millstone Road east of Hancock.

The stolen Marlin rifles included a .22-caliber and a model 336, said Lt. Tim Baker of the sheriff's office.

The case has been suspended for now because investigators have no more leads, Baker said. However, he said cases can be reopened if police obtain more information.

Store's bank deposits missing over two weeks

HAGERSTOWN — Store deposits have been reported missing over a two-week period at Ecko in the Premium Outlets, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

The thefts were reported at 11:14 a.m. on Tuesday, the sheriff's office said.

No additional information has been filed on the case, Lt. Tim Baker of the sheriff's office said Thursday.


Cash stolen from jewelry store in the Valley Mall

HALFWAY — Cash was reported stolen at Reeds Jewelers in the Valley Mall on Tuesday, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said.

The theft was reported at 3:55 p.m., the sheriff's office said.

The theft is being investigated by Deputy Tracey Peyton, but no additional information was available Thursday, said Lt. Tim Baker of the sheriff's office.
