WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Waynesboro Area School Board welcomed its two newest members to the board Tuesday and reorganized for 2012.
School directors unanimously appointed Edward Wilson as president of the board and Chris Lind as vice president.
New board member Ashley Newcomer was named board secretary.
Newcomer and Rita L. Daywalt, who were elected Nov. 8, officially joined the board Tuesday. Newcomer and Daywalt represent the Washington Township region, while Wilson and Firmadge Crutchfield retained their seats representing the North End region, which includes Quincy Township, the Borough of Mont Alto and part of South Mountain.
Wilson previously served as board president, but he resigned a few months ago, citing work obligations. He said he needed to complete some continuing-education requirements and tackle several projects.
Those commitments have since eased, he said Tuesday.
