Plans for 9/11 memorial at Red Run Park to be unveiled

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Plans for a Sept. 11, 2001, memorial at Red Run Park in Washington Township, Pa., will be unveiled Monday night.

The Washington Township Supervisors will host the memorial committee during their meeting at 7 p.m. at 13013 Welty Road.

Featured in the memorial will be a World Trade Center artifact and possibly artifacts from Shanksville, Pa., and the Pentagon. The committee is working to secure items from all three sites.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and see a model of the memorial.
