Essay winners were Sandra Ashton, 45, of Cross Junction, Va., who received first place; Emily Mayhugh, 21, of Williamsport, who received second place; and Kelsey Shuman, 21, of Chambersburg, Pa., who received third place.

HCC sophomore Amanda Centofonti, 24, of Smithsburg, received the Ted Lynch Award for Outstanding HCC Radiography Program Student.
