Virginia Elizabeth "Ginny" Miller, 91, of Williamsport, Md., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown, Md.
She was born Aug. 30, 1920, in Hagerstown to the late Samuel Kiefer Sr. and Anna Mae Postetter Eckis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ellsworth Miller, in 2004.
She lived life for her family.
She was a 1937 graduate of Williamsport High School. She attended Frostburg University.
Ginny and her husband Charlie were the owners/operators of Busy Corner, Williamsport, until their retirement.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport. She served on various committees of ladies groups.
She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include a son, Samuel E. Miller Sr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; granddaughter, Shannon M. Gaither of Hagerstown; grandson, Samuel E. Miller Jr. of Falling Waters; and great-granddaughter, Allison Elizabeth Gaither of Hagerstown. She was predeceased by one brother, Samuel K. "Bud" Eckis Jr.
The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, today from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 1 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Dec. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. W. Gregory Martin officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Williamsport.
