Did you know?
Did you know that in days gone by, one of the areas favorite pastimes was square dances? The dances were held in the Odd Fellows Hall in Clear Spring or in various private homes. Some of the homes that held these dances were the Seiberts, the Fierys, the Troupes, the Cushwas and the Kreighs.
For guests who did not care to dance, card tables were set up in other areas. “Five Hundred” was a popular card game at that time.
